Some folks in Ellsworth are working hard to raise money for a Maine Coast Memorial nurse who is in need of a liver transplant.

A spaghetti dinner is being held Saturday February 6 at the Elks Club in Ellsworth. The event will run from 4:30-7:30 and will feature live music and a 50-50 raffle. The only cost for the event is donations to the Jan Watson liver transplant fund.

Watson was recently diagnosed with Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia and is in need of a new liver. The Elks Club has donated the room for the event. There will be plenty of food, homemade desserts, as well as music courtesy of the Gristmill Boys.
