I received a question about the best places to go online for tax refund estimates. You will need to determine which sites offer the best information for you, but I found a few sites that offer tax estimates. And, as always, you can go to the WABI.TV web site for this report.
1040.com- easy-to-use one page fill-in web site that quickly gives an estimate of what you may need to pay or your potential refund. The calculator is
http://www.1040.com/site/taxtools/federaltaxestimator/tabid/227/default.aspx Left column under Tax Tools in the drop down menu look for the Federal Tax Estimator.
The IRS.gov -offers a tax withholding calculator- but that just tells you what you Available atIRA.gov in the search bar type in withholding calculator and it will take you to a page that explains and invites you to go to the calculator
http://www.irs.gov/individuals/page/0,,id=14806,00.html
YourMoneyPage - has a list of popular calculators on the left side of the page and in red there is a tab that reads: Tax refund? See if you will get a refund or owe taxes at the end of the year. You can go directly to the calculator at the following address:
http://www.yourmoneypage.com/withhold/refund_fed_paystub.php
H & R Block -TurboTax- Tax Act and other sites that offer also to file your federal and in some cases state tax returns, provide estimators.
I think the disclosures on all these sites acknowledge that these tools provide estimates and are to be used to give you an idea of what you may owe or be owed.
It's because you asked about a tax refund estimator, so here's the answer!
