Two children from Haiti are now on their way to their new home in Pittsfield.

5-year-old Cristella and 1-year-old David were in the process of being adopted by their parents in Maine when the earthquake hit Haiti two weeks ago.

Jediah and Amanda Logiodice worked through a number of hurdles since then.

The couple and their children arrived safely in Maine on a flight into Portland this afternoon.

And another couple from Winthrop also adopting two Haitian children arrived at the Portland Jetport with their new family, too.

Carlyn and Matthew Lenfesty were finally able to meet up with 1-year-old Sasia and 2-year-old Richard on Monday.

They landed in Sarasota, Florida, wrapping up an 8-month adoption process.
