17-years old is a crucial age for many teenagers.

They're about to venture out into the "real world" and become adults.

That's why Adina is looking for an adoptive or foster family, to help guide her through this exciting time in her life.

Joy Hollowell met up with Adina recently at Always Flowers in Veazie.
==========
"Bottom of the stem or bottom of the node?" asks 17-year old Adina.

Right there is fine," says Brenda Pyle, co-owner of Always Flowers in Veazie.

It didn't take long for Adina to catch on to crosage making. This 17-year old quickly figured out how to form and shape the flower jewelry.

"Now, bend the wires down, there you go," says Brenda Pyle.

Then...came the bow, something Pyle admits, isn't easy.

"It takes a long time to learn to make the bows. There's no easy way," explains Brenda.

"So, you're going to do it?" asks Adina.

"yes," assures Brenda, "I'm going to do it for you."

Adina says she enjoys one on one attention with people. The teenager lives in a group home, so it's tough to get close to others, she tells me. As for a family to adopt or foster her, Adina doesn't care if it's a single parent or two. she'd be most happy with a family who has lots of pets...

"I have a big passion for animals," says Adina.

Particularly horses. Adina is currently taking riding lessons.

"I haven't done bareback yet," she says, "but I'm excited to do it."

Adina says she'd love to live on a farm, and doesn't mind getting her hands dirty with chores. As for a future in flower design, Adina says it was easier than it looked...but then again she points out-

"Well, I didn't do the bows."
