A log truck driver from Island Falls involved in a deadly crash is going to jail for three months.
58-year-old Kenneth Slauenwhite was sentenced after pleading guilty to manslaughter.
Prosecutors say he was speeding and driving an overweight truck back in September of 2007, when it crossed the center line and hit a state dump truck.
The crash happened on Route 6 in Kossuth township.
35-year-old Jarrod Damon of Grand Lake Stream was driving the state truck; he was killed in the collision.
A second state worker was injured.
Slauenwhite is expected to begin serving his sentence next month.

Critize me for bashing Maine all the time, but dont you Mainers get the feeling a Maine life is not worth much? What the Sam Hill is wrong with you people with no public outcries?
Massachusetts just gave a man who stole a hot dog 18 months in jail, this guy gets 3 months for taking a Maine life. Seems logical to deduce the value of a Maine life is equal to the bite of a stolen hotdog in Massachusetts
I dont want to say every Mainer goes to bed drunk every night so they cant remember what happen the day before, or Mainers brains have become numb over time, but please, someone give me another explanation my genuis IQ cant fiqure out.
