You may have heard of the children's movie, "Hotel for Dogs."
Turns out there's a real life version in Bangor.
It's called the Bangor Pet and Spa Resort.
That's where Brendan and Joy Hollowell met up for this week's Thursday's Child.
==========
10-year old Brenden really likes dogs.
I asked him, "If you had your wish, how many dogs would you have as pets?"
"50," says Brenden, smiling.
The folks at Bangor Pet and Spa Resort thought it might be fun to show Brendan what 50 or so dogs look like.
(dogs coming out of door)
Ok...so it's more like 15 four-legged friends, uh, wait a minute...make that 16, 17, 18, 19, 20...hi there!
I asked Brenden, "how much do you like dogs?"
"A lot," he says.
And as i found out, dogs like Brenden a lot too.
Brenden enjoys being outside, whether its playing with dogs or riding his bike. He also enjoys trips down to Funtown, Splashtown.
"dragon's Descent, that is awesome," Brenden tells me.
"I won't go on that," I told him.
"why?" he asks.
"It's too scary," I said.
"Are you kidding me?" Brenden says, "It's awesome."
Brenden says he's looking forward to the day he can have a family to call his own.
"I miss having a real family."
And he hopes that will include a dog...or 50.

Brenden is a polite and funny child, born in March 1999. He likes to play outside, ride his bike and play video games. Those who work with Brenden say he has a great sense of humor, and he likes to please others.
Brenden likes to be active most of the time. He loves to ride bikes, go swimming and roller blading. When he's inside, Brenden can usually be found playing videogames or watching movies. His favorite movies are the Harry Potter series and the Shrek series. Brenden is learning to play the guitar as well and says it is really fun! The one on one time with an adult is very helpful for him. He also likes to take things apart and try to put them back together. Once he is in an adoptive family, Brenden would love to be able to learn how to snowboard and skateboard.
Brenden attends public school and does well there. Brenden does receive special education supports to complete his work and stay on task. This support will be important so Brenden can continue to make progress at school. He makes friends easily and can be very supportive to his peers.
