Monica Estes of Northeast Harbor died from an accidental drowning according to the state medical examiners office. The body of the 56-year-old Estes, was discovered by a passerby along the shore off of Seawall Road last Wednesday, November 25.
It is believed that Estes had taken a kayak out sometime between last Sunday, November 22, and the day she was found. On Monday, November 23, a fisherman found a red Old Town Otter kayak at King's Point shore.
