Debate on a bill that would ban mandatory vaccinations in Maine heated up in Augusta Thursday.
People packed into the statehouse to urge lawmakers to clarify current law. Most of the people there were and say still are under the impression that the government has the authority to force vaccinations.
Lawmakers say that's not the case and there's no reason to change anything. The bill was turned down in a 6 to 4 vote.
