There is only one athlete in the history of U-Maine sports that was drafted in two pro leagues.
That person was also inducted into the U-Maine sports Hall of Fame this weekend.
Roger Lapham is the answer to what would be an interesting Black Bear trivia question. After his U-Maine basktball career Lapham played one year of football in 1979.
He was a 9th round pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in 1979 and a 12th round choice by the Buffalo Bills in 1980.
Lapham finished his basketball career at Maine with more than 15 hundred points. That's 6th on the U-Maine scoring list.... he was 2nd when his career ended.
