The Maine Warden Service says a man from Mapleton was hit by bird shot this weekend while duck hunting with his friend.
The man, who's in his 20s, was injured Saturday while hunting along Realty Road in remote T11 R15.
Game wardens say he was hit with bird shot is his lower leg and foot.
The men immediately drove to The Aroostook Medical Center, where the injured hunter was treated for his non-life threatening injuries.
No names are being released yet.
This is the third incident in which a hunter has been hit with bird shot since October 1st.
