Fall is in full gear here in maine.

And that includes pumpkin picking.

Joy Hollowell met up with twins Jerry and Terry at Tate's farm in Corinth to gather up some gourds.

"Alright"

Picking pumpkins is twice as fun when you're hanging out with Jerry and Terry. In case you haven't guessed, these 12-year old brothers are identical twins. Jerry helped me tell the difference between the two.

"he is brown, he looks just like me, but he's different. He is not wearing the same shirt that I'm wearing," says Jerry.

"Are you the talkative one or is Jerry the talkative one?" I asked.

"me," says Jerry.

"I'm the quiet one," says Terry.

Terry does love to talk about art. He really enjoys drawing.

"Knock, knock," says Jerry.

"Who's there?" I ask.

"boo," says Jerry.

"Boo Who?" I ask.

"Are you crying?" asks Jerry.

Jerry is the jokester. And, as I found out the day we met up at Tate's Strawberry Farm in Corinth, Jerry also has a wild side.

"So Jerry-

Huh?

Did I see you driving that Kabota?

Uh, uh (jerry laughs)"

Albert Tate actually allowed both boys to drive that day, under his careful supervision. Jerry and Terry tell me they both love being outdoors.

"What are some of the things that you like to do outside?" I ask.

"Football," says Jerry.

"football," says Terry.

"That's cute, you both answered at the same time," I tell them.

The twins lost their biological mother when they were just three years old. The brothers are hoping for a new mom and family, that can nuture them through their soon to be teenage years.

"I would like puppies and kittens. I would like to have a nice brother and sister, like our age. And I'd like to have a go cart," says Jerry.

"Have a nice mom and dad. Have a brother and sister and have a dog," says Terry.

Jerry and Terry have no problem pitching in around the house and yard. They eagerly helped Albert Tate unload pumpkins the day we were there, no easy task by the way. You'd think after all that, these boys would just want to sit back and relax. Think again!

"Can we go for a ride?" asks Jerry.
============
Jerry and Terry are twin brothers who are waiting for their forever family.  They are polite, athletic and can be very affectionate with each other and with adults.  And they get along great together…they are very close!

Jerry and Terry list many different sports as some of their favorite things to do.  They both play soccer and basketball.  Their foster mother says they are both very athletic and very talented.  In school, they took French and say that was their favorite class.  They also enjoy music and art during the school day.  Jerry and Terry are good with their peers and get along well with other kids.

Like most boys their age, Jerry and Terry like to play video games and watch TV sometimes.  But they are far more likely to be found outside, year round, playing sports, riding bikes or playing in the snow.  They are also learning to cook at home.

Jerry and Terry say they want a family with patience and understanding of learning disabilities.  They both love school but will likely need special services throughout their education.  Jerry and Terry are learning independent living skills in addition to their academics.

An adoption subsidy may be available to the most appropriate family.
