Meet Frank…a young man born in October 1996.  Those who know Frank best say he is a friendly teen who has a good sense of humor.  He is a handsome young man with red hair and brown eyes.

Frank likes a variety of activities, and can find something to do just about anywhere.  Inside, you will most often find him reading, listening to music, doing art projects or challenging someone to a board game.  Outside, Frank likes to play basketball, walk in the woods and ride his bike.  Frank requires special education supports during his school day.   He will be entering 7th grade in the fall.

Frank does have some medical needs that an adoptive family would need to be prepared for.  He suffers from occasional seizures.  He does take medication for this and has a specialist he sees for this.  Frequency and duration have decreased and medication seems to be helping.

Frank was removed from his parents care when a toddler and placed with family members.  He had to enter care in 11/07 due to illness by his primary caretaker.  He does continue to have contact with many of his family who love and care for him but are unable to adopt him.  It is important that an adoptive family allow ongoing contact with them in the future.

Frank is working on developing coping skills deal with his frustration.  The best family for Frank would be one that is willing to be involved with treatment providers and attend therapy with him.   Frank would do well in a family with older teens, as he would benefit from having positive role models around him.  Frank may be eligible for adoption assistance.
