A family of 5 from Pittsfield is homeless after fire gutted their house on Sunday. It happened at the Dodge residence on Hussey road.
Wilford Dodge was mowing the lawn when he noticed flames inside the house and called for help.
Crews were called in from Pittsfield, Newport, Detroit, Canaan, and Hartland,
but by the time crews arrived on scene, the fire had a good head start.
No one was hurt, but several pets were killed. No word yet on what caused the fire.
