March Madness for the top culinary artists in the area took over Eastern Maine Community College tonight.
The Johnson Gymnasium was filled to capacity for the 2nd annual Maine Chef Challenge.
Three teams of chefs from three separate locations competed to see who could create the best dish using a secret ingredient.
Sausage had to be incorporated into the meals prepared by the cooks from Cleonice Mediterranean Bistro in Ellsworth, Husson University Dining, and Flik Independent School Dining.
All proceeds will support scholarships for culinary students at EMCC.
For tonight's competition the judges were looking for something more than just flavor, they're looking for soul.
