Sparks Flew At Beal College in Bangor Today

3

Bangor - Sparks were flying at Beal College in Bangor today.

It was the first of a two-day welding clinic.

Students spent the day learning how to make a wood stove.

They'll add the final touches next week.

"It filled up the first day we advertised it. We have fourteen people here today. Three women and the rest are men, and it really sparked some interest. Some of them have signed up for our program two years down the road and it's been a lot of fun," said Jesse Crosby, the welding program director at Beal College.

The $275 fee for the clinic included materials and one-on-one time with instructors.

Beal College plans to hold more clinics like this in the future.
