Augusta -
A judge set bail Friday at $25,000 for a patient at Riverview Psychiatric Center accused of stabbing an employee.
47-year-old Mark Murphy is charged with elevated aggravated assault and an aggravated assault.
Authorities say it happened over the weekend.
Murphy is accused of stabbing a staff member at the mental health hospital in Augusta several times with a ballpoint pen.
she has serious injuries.
Authorities say Murphy's actions were intentional and out of anger, not because of a mental illness.
He remains at the Kennebec County Jail.
Murphy was sent to Riverview more than seven years ago for an assault in York county.
