Orrington -
Folks in Orrington are celebrating a big birthday.
The town was incorporated 225 years ago.
On Thursday, townspeople recognized the occasion with a special reading of the town's official proclamation.
Volunteers are preparing a year-long celebration of their history.
Those festivities will include the return of "Old Home Week" in July.
That will include parades, sporting events, community meals, and more.
