Fire crews were on the scene in Augusta for several hours Thursday.
Firefighters were called to an apartment building on Northern Avenue just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon.
Northern Avenue is still closed off.
Fire officials say two people were inside the building. One person was treated and released from a local hospital.
