An Auction Luncheon was held Sunday to help benefit a local food pantry.
The Neighbors Helping Neighbors Food Pantry in Hermon are trying to raise $400 for canned goods.
The event was originally planned as a snowmobile ride, but because of the lack of snow, organizers held a luncheon at the Penobscot Snowmobile Club instead.

The Neighbors Supporting Neighbors food pantry in Hermon are trying to raise $400 for canned goods.

The pantry serves five towns, making the need for donations even greater.
Volunteer Director of the pantry Carol Lackedy said "We're open twice a month and in those 2 hours we're open we'll see more than 50 families. We serve over 400 people just at our food pantry alone."
If you'd like to help, Neighbors Supporting Neighbors will also be at the Bangor Home Show next month to raise more money.
