It's off to nationals for a group of local tennis players. 16 teams have earned spots at the event in Tennessee and all of the players are over 50 years old.
It's a co-ed event. Scott Storgaard is one member of the three mixed doubles teams. Scott was hitting this afternoon at Bangor Indoor Tennis with a couple of senior teammates, Karen Robidoux as well as Cathy Lemin.
Three mixed doubles teams from the area will do battle in the United States Tennis Association event. They won the area title and then the New England qualifier for this spot in nationals.
The event starts a week from today.
