UMaine Hockey Falls In Game One Of Hockey East Quarterfinals

Orono - The UMaine hockey team starting its postseason run tonight. The Black Bears playing UMass-Lowell in Game One of the Hockey East Quarterfinals. The teams playing a best-of-three series.

A good start for Maine. On the power play, Jake Rutt with the shot that goes off the post, off the goalie, and in! The Black Bears with a 1-0 lead after one period.

It stayed that way until late in the second. The Riverhawks with three chances on the man advantage, and third time's the charm! Scott Wilson buries one to tie the game at one.

Then in the third, Marty Ouellette with a great effort, but Wilson is there for the rebound "lamp-lighter!" That was the first of three goals in the first 6:30 of the third period. Devin Shore scoring in the final minute, but it was too late.

Maine falls in Game One, 4-2 the final. Game Two is tomorrow night at 7PM.

I feel bad for them loosing but its hard to support them when they dont televise the games that r not at home.kinda makes u not care to much.
