Bangor -
An Ellsworth Police Officer appeared in court on Thursday, facing his own charges.
Andrew Weatherbee, 30, was charged with domestic violence assault in January.
He plead not guilty to that charge Thursday afternoon.
Holden Police said a disagreement between Weatherbee and his girlfriend led to him pushing and shoving her.
The original bail agreement states the officer and the victim cannot be in contact, but Weatherbee's attorney asked for that to be lifted. The judge denied the bail change, but said he will meet with all parties, including the victim, next week to reconsider.
Weatherbee will be back in court on May 7th.
