Shop to Stop Domestic Violence

3

Brewer - A consignment shop is giving domestic violence victims more than just clothes. It's giving them a little faith.

Faith Builders Cornerstone Resale and Donation Center is celebrating their grand opening this weekend.

The owner has been spreading the word, giving vouchers to therapists and Spruce Run, a local domestic violence shelter.

Anyone with a voucher is able to shop for free.

For the owner, this cause hits close to home.

"I left with just the clothes on my back, so I know how it feels to really need some help," shop owner Melissa Lawrence said. "I believe that everyone can help even just a little bit. The community really needs it."

Lawrence says her shop is open to everyone in the community.

If you'd like to visit or donate, the shop is located in the North Brewer Shopping Center.
