Corinth -
Driving on the Grant Road in Corinth isn't exactly ideal and many who live here are upset.
Many residents say the same thing happened last year.
They aren't happy about it, and want to see some changes.
"I don't feel that this year is any different than it has been in previous years. I'm not saying that's acceptable. We'd like to improve that. We really don't want our citizens to go through this each and every year. So, we plan on fixing that," said Town Manager Travis Gould.
Steve Ellis, who's lived on the road for almost twenty years, is concerned for his wife.
"She's a severe diabetic. She could go into a diabetic shock at anytime. If she does, how is an emergency crew going to get down here?"
Gould says the roads pass safety conditions.
"I have been monitoring it with the fire chief, and myself to make sure it is possible for emergency vehicles and it is at this time. This past year, we've put approximately 11 loads of gravel in some of the worst areas. I know it's just a band-aid, but we attempted to do those things, we also did grading. Grading the shoulders and trying to get the water off the edges of the road," said Gould.
"What I'd like to see happen is this road repaired. To some extent. I don't expect a miracle. I do expect this being 2013 that they can do a heck of a better than what they're doing," said Robinson, a Corinth resident.
Gould says that the road budget will be discussed at town meeting on March 19th.
That's at 7 p.m. at the high school.
