Woman Hurt in Harrison Fire

3

Harrison - Authorities say a woman suffered second-degree burns to her face in a fire that destroyed a log cabin in Harrison.

The blaze was reported at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday and the home was totally engulfed by the time firefighters arrived.

Two people in the home at the time escaped, but Allison Flagg was taken to the hospital with burns that are not considered life-threatening.

Chief Dana LaPlante says the fire broke out in the kitchen and Flagg apparently tried to extinguish it before fleeing.

The blaze does not appear suspicious.

Crews from Harrison and six surrounding communities tackled the blaze.
