St. Albans Home Destroyed by Fire

3

St. Albans - There's nothing left of a house that burned in Saint Albans on Friday.

The call came in around 5:00 Friday morning.

Crews from five towns responded but by the time they got there the house on Ross Hill Road was surrounded by flames.

The homeowners got out safely.

Firefighters have some extra challenges. St. Albans Fire Chief, Jason Emery said, "the biggest issues were the weather conditions, narrow road, lack of manpower. All those contributed to us just being able to put the fire out."

Since there's nothing left of the house, we're told it's unlikely the fire marshal will be called in to look for a cause.

Saint Alban's Fire Chief says the house is insured.

It's the fifth structure fire in Saint Albans this year.
