Bangor -
The Greater Bangor Convention and Visitors Bureau announced the winners of their annual Tourism and Hospitality Eagle Awards on Thursday.
The group held a press conference in the lobby of Hollywood Casino.
The actual awards presentation isn't until May, but some of the recipients were on hands for the event.
Individual Achievement winner Mike Dyer, the Director of Bass Park, and Impact Award winner Alex Gray of the Waterfront Concert Series were recognized.
They say Eastern Maine is growing because of the collaboration of business, organizations, and individuals.
Northeastern Loggers Association was also announced as winners of the organizational achievement award.
The awards ceremony is set for May 21st, at Jeff's Catering in Brewer.
Tickets can be purchased at visitbangormaine.com.
