Cinderella Project of Maine Back for Another Year

3

Belfast - Prom can be expensive, but there's some help available.

The Cinderella Project of Maine is back. For the 8th year, girls can get donated dresses for free.

There are hundreds of dresses up for grabs.

" If it's not perfect, if you couldn't put it on and take it and go straight to the prom, then we don't put it out," explained Mandie Sawyer, the chair of Cinderella Project of Maine.

The dresses are free, all organizers ask is for the girls to do something good for their community.

There's also an essay contest and the winner gets a dress, hair, nails, makeup and more prom necessities for free. The essay needs to be about helping the community.
