Orrington -
An Orrington man is dead after crashing his snowmobile into a telephone pole early Thursday morning.
Deputy Mark Lloyd of the Penobscot County Sheriff's Department said he believes speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
We're told David Hall, 42, was riding his snowmobile on Long Hill Drive around 2:30 AM on Thursday. Deputy Lloyd said Hall lost control on the snowy roads, hit a telephone pole, and was ejected from the snowmobile.
We're told a snow plow driver found Hall lying in the road and called 911.
Hall died at Eastern Maine Medical Center.
