Canaan -
A convenience store in Canaan is proving to be a lucky spot.
A few weeks ago, the Canaan Superette sold a $30,000 scratch ticket. Then, this past weekend, a $2 million winning Powerball ticket was sold there.
Store owner Tom Ward says the lucky streak hasn't caused a rush of customers yet, but it's definitely the talk of the town.
"The $30,000 one was the biggest winner that we'd sold so far, and then to have this big winner right on top of it. It's great," said Ward.
The winner of the $2 million ticket, a man from Clinton, stopped by the store Tuesday afternoon to cash in, having no idea how much he had won.
