Waterville -
Waterville Police have released a surveillance picture of the man who robbed the Key Bank on Kennedy Memorial Drive in Waterville.
Waterville Deputy Police Chief Charles Rumsey said the man walked into the bank just before 5 p.m. Thursday and handed the teller a note demanding cash.
The man allegedly made an undisclosed threat before fleeing the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Rumsey said they believe the suspect may have fled in a car that was parked in a parking lot behind some medical buildings at 325 Kennedy Memorial Drive next to the bank.
Waterville Police, Maine State Police, and a K9 Unit from the Kennebec County Sheriff's Department set up a perimeter Thursday night that stretched from Kennedy Memorial Drive north to Lincoln Street in a search for the suspect.
