Man Charged with Attempted Murder Pleads Not Guilty to Drug Charges in Another County

3

Ellsworth - A man charged with attempted murder in connection with an Orrington fire appeared in a Hancock County courtroom for drug charges Thursday.

Oscar Nunez, 25, pleaded not guilty to three drug charges including two counts of aggravated trafficking of scheduled drugs.

Last month, Nunez pleaded not guilty to charges in Penobscot County, including arson and aggravated attempted murder

Nunez's Attorney in Hancock county, Andy Slater said "I talked to the attorney who's representing Nunez in the Bangor matters and the Bangor bail is significantly higher than it is here and the charges are different, of course."

The 25-year-old is currently being held on $10,000 bail in Hancock county and $50,000 bail in Penobscot.

He's due back in Penobscot in April and Hancock county court in June.
