Driver Seriously Injured in Car Crash in St. Albans

3

St. Albans - Authorities say speed appears to be a factor in a car crash in St. Albans that seriously injured the driver.

Somerset County Sheriff's Deputies say 32-year-old Michelle Richard of St. Albans was driving on Nokomis Road Thursday afternoon when she lost control around a corner and hit a guardrail.

Richard was trapped inside the car and had to be cut out of it by rescue crews.

She was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

We're told she appeared to have severe leg and head injuries.

The car was totaled.
