Ellsworth -
A Deer Isle woman charged with Manslaughter in connection to the September death of her boyfriend appeared in Hancock County courtroom Thursday morning.
According to court documents, Kimberly Phelan, 30, told police she and Andrew Ray, 31, had been drinking and were on their way back to deer isle when they stopped to smoke pot in blue hill last year.
She says they got into an argument, ray punched in the passenger side window, and while trying to move away, she ran over him with at least the front tires of the car. Ray later died at a hospital.
The affidavit shows Phelan's blood alcohol level was almost twice the legal limit.
The 30-year-old is scheduled to be back in court April 18th.
