Washington County deputies arrested two men for reportedly having heroin.
Clayton May, 41, of Addison and Byron Carver, 33, of Jonesport were taken into custody Wednesday in Addison.
Authorities say they found approximately $11,000 of heroin, some marijuana, and $400 cash.
Deputies went to the house of Mark Stoddard on East Side Road in Addison for a probation check. Deputies had been receiving several public complaints about drug activity at the residence. When deputies got there, May and Carver were there. Deputies say Carver was in possession of heroin and there were several dosage units or "bags" of heroin packaged, ready for sale. May was taken into custody for Trafficking of Heroin.
Stoddard was found not to be directly involved with the drug operation, according to a press release from the Washington County Sheriff's Office.
Carver has been released from jail on bail. May's bail is set at $25,000.
