Bangor, Newport -
Standing tall for a good cause is what the Nokomis JROTC is doing Wednesday.
Despite the cold, the students are at Sam's Club in Bangor to raise money for the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
They're hoping to raise $4,500 during their school break.
"We did a fundraiser over the summer for Wounded Warriors and we raised $11,000. The public showed a lot of support for what we did and there was great appreciation for what we did, so we decided to try something different. You know, we picked an organization, the Shriners. So,you know, they have a big impact on the community," said Felix Thibodeau, a Nokomis JROTC First Cadet Seargeant.
They'll be at Sam's Club until 6 p.m. Wednesday night if you'd like to stop by.
Thursday through Saturday you can find them at Bud's Shop and Save in Newport.
They'll be there starting at 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. each night.
