Police Say Stray Bullet Went Through House in Hampden

3

Hampden - Quite a scare for a family from Hampden, after discovering a stray bullet had gone flying through their house.

No one was hurt.

Hampden Police Chief Joe Rogers says a man on Western Avenue came home Tuesday afternoon and his son pointed out two bullet holes, high on the wall in his living room.

Then he heard someone firing a gun outside.

Rogers says another man at the golf course near the house was target shooting at the time.

The man told police he had permission from the golf course owner and that he thought he'd taken all the proper precautions before firing the weapon.

Rogers say the man's gun was confiscated.

The case is under investigation.

Rogers says he's not sure if any charges will be filed.
