Protestors To BDN: "Enough is Enough"

3

Bangor - A group rallied against the Bangor Daily News offices in Bangor Saturday afternoon.

Mainers for the Second Amendment gathered outside the building saying enough is enough.

One protestor said the paper made a mistake requesting the list of concealed weapon permit holders, but now he thinks it's too late for an apology.

Protestor, Carter Jones said "Asking for people's names for concealed carry permits is not only dangerous, but it's an infringement on our rights and the constitution is very clear."

The protestor said the media should focus on people who are corrupting government, rather than the permit holders who are abiding by the law.

thank you for reporting our protest and doing a fair and balanced review, and just for the record, we are not a republican group, just concerned citizens of Maine, including independents, democrats, and republicans, thanks again...

The dishonest reporting in local newspapers regarding 2nd Amendment issures remains a constant and not only precludes an honest look at an important issue, but disrespects the very communities it strives to serve. How sad. Ken Fogelman

It is infuriating and neauseating when a news paper is so starved of readership that instead of publishing truly good journalism and increasing readership THAT way, they sell out with vacuous fear mongering gussied up as "public safety".

Criminals LOVE it when newspapers pull this: where to break in to steal a gun while on your way to robbing those without.

What they didn't think of either was the risk of all of our homes and camps getting robbed if that list was published! Outright outrageous!
