Limited Damage At House Fire In Bangor Due To Quick Response Time

3

Bangor - Fire broke out in a home in Bangor late Wednesday morning.

Three people got out of the home on Kenduskeag Avenue safely.

Quick response time kept fire damage from being much worse.

"The call came in at 11:24. We were first on scene at 11:27, so, about a three minute response. Our crews quickly entered the building trying to knock down the fire on the first floor. Found out that the fire had extended to the second floor. We gave an all hands which means all available units in the city of Bangor come to the scene," said Rick Cheverie, assistant fire chief at the Bangor Fire Department.

No word yet on what caused the blaze.

The State Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to help with the investigation.
