Washington, D.C. -
Independent Maine Senator Angus King responded to the President's State of the Union address on Tuesday night.
He thinks President Obama did a good job, hitting a number of issues, and delivering his message in a bi-partisan way.
"I thought it was a very strong speech. What I liked particularly about it was the tone. It wasn't overly partisan. There wasn't much of in your face sort of we won and you lost and I think that was the right tone," said Senator King.
Senator King congratulated President Obama on his effort, noting the wide range of issues he covered, including sequester budget cuts, jobs, climate change, and foreign policy.
