Update on Missing Toddler Ayla Reynolds

3

We have an update on the case of missing Waterville toddler Ayla Reynolds who police believe is dead.

A relative of Ayla's posted an update on the website Ayla Reynolds.com saying the state police recently briefed the family on their investigation.

According to the website, Trista Reynolds, the mother of Ayla Reynolds was shown the evidence that led state police to conclude that Ayla is dead.

No specifics about that evidence were provided.

Trista Reynolds was also shown photographs of items pulled out the Kennebec river that police thought may belong to Ayla.

She could *not* identify those items as Ayla's.

The following statement was posted on the website:

"There will never be real closure, even when the guilty are exposed, but perhaps there can be some solace from knowing that Ayla's suffering ended over a year ago and have faith that she now resides in the light and basks in the radiance of love. But it is still our resolve to bring Ayla home."
