Update: Woman Killed in House Explosion

Investigators in Maine say a body has been found in the rubble of a home that was destroyed in an early morning explosion.

Maine Department of Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says the single-story duplex blew up and caught fire around 5 a.m. Tuesday in Bath. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause, but the duplex used propane as its heating source.

The explosion was big enough that it scattered debris a quarter mile away, with clothing, wood, insulation, shingles and other debris landing in trees and on top of neighbor's homes.

McCausland says at least four people were hospitalized, but the identity of the victim has not been confirmed.

McCausland says the duplex is in a development built during World War II to house shipyard workers.
