A memorial service was held in Vassalboro Monday for a 23 year veteran of the Maine Warden Service.
Major Gregg Sanborn, 47, died last week after a battle with a rare type of lymphoma.
Sanborn, a native of Fryeburg, was second in command at the Warden Service.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah and son David, both of Sidney.
