Winter Storm Won't Stop China Lake Hockey Tournament

3

China - The winter storm pounding the Northeast is expected to drop as much as 20-inches of snow in Central Maine.

Road crews from Waterville Public Works are ready to go and expected to work throughout the night.

Director Mark Turner says this is the 19th storm they've worked this winter but they expect this will be the biggest and most challenging winter storm yet.

The storm has also forced the cancellation of numerous events, but the first ever Maine Pond Hockey Classic on China Lake is still on for Saturday.

Volunteers say the show will go on no matter what mother nature brings. They drop the puck on the 14 team tournament at 11:30 Saturday and 9:30 Sunday.
