Attorney for Orland Man Appeals Sentence in Unlawful Sexual Contact Case

3

Ellsworth - An Orland man is going to jail for a year for reportedly breaking into a house and touching the woman inside.

William Kepner, 31, was found guilty of aggravated criminal trespass and unlawful sexual contact.

His attorney, Jeff Toothaker, says Kepner was on drugs at the time and blacked out.

Kepner reportedly broke into the house of his 63-year-old neighbor and touched her. The woman then locked herself in the bathroom.

Kepner was sentenced to four years in prison with all but one year suspended.

Toothaker says he has appealed the sentence.
