Bangor is "Downtown Proud".
On Thursday night, more than 20 stores kept their doors open late, offering patrons special discounts and refreshments.
The event was organized by "Fusion Bangor", a group dedicated to helping connect folks to the area.
Fusion even hosted a meet and greet for shoppers looking to make a new friend on this cold night.
Organizers say that investing in the downtown community is vital to sustaining the heart of the city.
