LePage Helps Mark Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month

3

Augusta - Governor LePage helped mark February as Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention month Thursday morning in Augusta.

The event was put on by the Maine coalition to end domestic violence.

LePage took time to check out their displays set up in the Hall of Flags and chat with coalition members.

Organizers of the event are urging parents to to ask about their kids' relationships.

They say 33% of teens involved in abusive relationships never report the abuse.
