Corinna -
The founder of Hartley's Auto in Newport has died.
Perley Hartley passed away last Friday, surrounded my family and caregivers.
He was 86-years-old.
He opened the areas first auto dealership in 1960, and the business continues to grow.
Hartley was heavily involved in the community and enjoyed many hobbies.
He was a selectman for the town of Corinna, and held a board seat with Key Bank.
He was a member of American Legion Post 72, the Parian Masonic Lodge, Anah Shrine, and the Corinna United Methodist Church.
He and his wife Marie were also instrumental in developing the Corinna Health Center.
The Funeral is 11 A.M. Saturday, February 9th, at the Corinna United Methodist Church.
