Bangor -
Plans are moving forward to sell the Bangor Daily News building in downtown Bangor to a hotel and resort company.
The Bangor Publishing Company, which owns the BDN, has signed a purchase and sale agreement with an affiliate of Ocean Properties.
Ocean Properties was started by Maine hotel developer Tom Walsh.
It includes several properties in Bar Harbor, as well as the Samoset Resort in Rockport and more than 100 other facilities in North America.
BDN Vice President Todd Benoit says the company is looking for a new office space for its staff. The production plant is in Hampden.
Benoit says the deal still has go through a due diligence phase and when that's complete, the newspaper staff has up to a year to move into a new location.
