Stan Marshall, a Tax-Aide Counselor with AARP was in for our Senior Spotlight, to tell us about the free tax help service that is available for low and moderate income taxpayers.
AARP Tax Aide is free. Free to prepare, free to file the Federal return, and free to file the State of Maine return.
The tax help is provided in Washington, Hancock, Waldo, Penobscot, and Piscataquis. The sites are open until April 15th.
The Bangor Public Library is open without an appointment on Wednesday and Thursdays all season and also on Tuesdays in February. All other sites take appointments. All of the other sites take appointments.
